We decided at the last minute to leave for Spring Break. It’s been a priority for me since we had the kids. I wanted these breaks, this time together, and the experiences. It won’t matter if they won’t remember it, I will. And actually I do hope that they’ll see themselves during this time with all the videos I take. I haven’t done that in a while either. Maybe one day I’ll be caught up… Anyway, we didn’t go anywhere over winter break – because paying off debt was the priority. So we loaded up at the very last minute and hit the road. The past couple of years we’ve stayed near St. Pete and last spring break we did Destin and we froze, ha. So this year we headed to Ft. Myers. It’s been several years since Justin and I have been together and back when I didn’t have hair and Kate was a baby walking around was my last time. We didn’t know how things were after the rebuild from Ian but decided it didn’t matter. There was still construction – which the kids enjoyed watching the construction equipment driving on the beach – but overall it wasn’t bad. We really enjoyed this trip. The kids said it was the best one yet. I don’t have the rest of the photos finished yet but these were the ones that we did on our last day. A while ago I had bought a remote for my camera so I could take photos of all of us when we travel. I decided to bring it with and try it out this trip. It was a little awkward feeling having the tripod and setting everything up but honestly I’m really glad that I took it and will be doing a lot more in the future. We weren’t able to get it in the morning when we did the sunrise shoot -such a bummer but oh well. But we grabbed it before we headed out to dinner a little bit before golden hour. We had to fight the wind and the kids were pretty much over it but it was good practice. I posted quite a few images of B and it’s mostly because these were the last days of him being 4. He turned 5 last week and we’ll be celebrating his birthday with a galaxy party this weekend.
